Stephanie Morgan
Stephanie Morgan is an enrolled member of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians. In 2001, she received her B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. In 2004, she earned a Master’s of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2012, she received her Master’s degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of North Dakota. Stephanie hopes to pursue a PhD one day. Ignacio Mendez
Ignacio is the Director of Medweganoonind Library. He is a native of Puerto Rico and is bilingual (Spanish and English.) He earned his BA in English Literature and a Master’s in Library Science from the University of Puerto Rico. He has experience with both libraries and archives, having worked in the Central Archive of The University Of Puerto Rico while in graduate school, and then as a librarian for the Center for Puerto Rico from the Sila Calderon Foundation and National University College. Stephanie Martin
Stephanie Martin received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and her Master of Arts degree in English from Bemidji State University. While attending graduate school at Bemidji State, she worked as a graduate assistant, teaching English. Proud to call Northern Minnesota her home, Stephanie lives in Bemidji with her husband and three children.
Tallie Large
Tallie is an enrolled member of the Comanche Nation and a resident of Cass Lake, MN. Tallie earned her Master’s degree in Tribal Resources and Environmental Stewardship from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2022. She earned a Bachelor’s of Art in Indigenous Studies at Bemidji State University in 2018 and an Associate’s degree in Liberal Education from Leech Lake Tribal College in 2009. Rachel King-Siert
Rachel King-Siert is an enrolled member of the Red Lake Nation. As a first-generation student, she attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech, Hearing, and Language Sciences. She continued on to earn a Master’s in Education with a focus on learning through community and experiential learning, also from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Over the past 18 years, Rachel has dedicated her work to helping students and families navigate through educational systems. My name is Dan King and I am the President of Red Lake Nation College (RLNC) and a proud member of the Red Lake Tribe, serving as one of its seven hereditary chiefs. My lineage traces back six generations to the esteemed Red Lake hereditary head chief, Medweganoonind, and I am honored to carry on this legacy. Since December 2014, Tami Niswander has served as the Chief Financial Officer at Red Lake Nation College. Currently pursuing a Doctorate of Business Administration at Metro State University in St. Paul, MN, Tami holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. Prior to her role in higher education, Tami gained valuable experience in the private sector, contributing as a business analyst, financial analyst, credit analyst, management consultant, and small business entrepreneur. Tami Nendick
Tami earned her B.S. in Education and her M.S. in Science Education from Bemidji State University. She has also completed graduate coursework at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Tami has more than 20 years of work experience at both the post-secondary and secondary levels. She has extensive teaching experience in the areas of biology, anatomy and physiology, and environmental science.
