Alex is a Red Lake Tribal Member and a proud alum of Red Lake Nation College (Class of 2014.) While attending RLNC at age17, he was one of the youngest full-time students, yet also served as RLNC Student Council President. After receiving his AA degree, he transferred to Bemidji State University, where he earned his BA in Liberal Studies. Krystal Jourdain

Krystal is an enrolled member of Red Lake who was born and raised in Red Lake. She graduated from Red Lake High School in 2010 as class Valedictorian. She worked at Red Lake Gaming and was promoted to Guest Service Supervisor. In 2013, she returned to Red Lake Nation College (RLNC) where she participated in the women’s basketball team. Floyd Jourdain

Floyd "Buck" Jourdain, Red Lake Ojibwe, was born and raised on the Red Lake Reservation in Northwest Minnesota. His Indigenous studies roots go back to the Red School House survival school in St. Paul, where he was educated in Indian History, culture and the rights of Indians and tribes. Racheal Jorgenson

Racheal is proud to be an enrolled member of the Red Lake Nation. She earned her IT Fundamentals and A+ certifications from CompTIA, in 2017. Racheal earned her A.A. Degree from Red Lake Nation College after Fall semester in 2017, graduating with the Class of 2018. She also attended MNWest Community/Technical College in 2001-02. Jeff Jones

Jeffrey Jones earned his A.A.S. in computer programming from Hennepin Technical College, his B.S. in mathematics from the University of New Mexico, his M.A. in Teaching from the University of St. Thomas, and his MA Graduate Certificate in Serious Game Design and Research from Michigan State University. Jeffrey has taught for 8 years at RLNC and previously taught high school math and computer science classes for 14 years, including AP Statistics and College Algebra. His current work includes curricular reform to bring cultural context and the use of games and history in the teaching of mathematics.

Annette Johnson

Annette earned her Masters Degree in Tribal Administration and Governance (MTAG) from the University of Minnesota Duluth and also her Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Bemidji State University. Dr. Thomas Hokanson

Dr. Hokanson earned bachelor’s degrees in History and Social Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato.  At this same institution he received a graduate certificate in Culturally Responsive Teaching and a master’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies.  He then attained a doctorate degree in Educational Administration: Adult & Higher Education from the University of South Dakota. Justin Heminger

Justin Heminger is an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes located on the Fort Berthold reservation in North Dakota. Most recently, Justin worked at Takoda Institute In Minneapolis, Minnesota, as an Intake Assistant/Testing Proctor. He helped with enrollment sessions, paperwork needed for enrollment, and administering assessments required for registration. Justin is close to completing his degree through RLNC, and is working as our Admissions and Records Specialist. After graduation he plans on attending a 4 year college to pursue his bachelor's degree. Justin looks forward to this new adventure and being able to help students succeed along the way.
