Dr. Wendy Greenberg
Wendy Greenberg earned her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in soil science from Texas A&M University. She taught soil science and environmental science at Bemidji State University 1999-2015 and for two semesters at University of Minnesota-Crookston. Wendy has also worked for the Natural Resources Conservation Service making soil survey maps in New York, Texas, and Minnesota. Wendy has been the Director of Sponsored Programs since January 2021. Before that, she was RLNC's primary grant writer and taught Environmental Science.
Randy Gresczyk
Ozaawaagwaneyaash (ojibwe name) or Randy Gresczyk, Eagle Clan, is an enrolled member of Bois Forte. His primary babysitter growing up was his grandmother, who was a first language speaker of Ojibwe. Randy’s father, Richard Gresczyk is an Ojibwe Language teacher. author, and fluent Ojibwe speaker. Randy has been around the ojibwe language his whole life. Jasmine Gonzalez
Jasmine Gonzalez is a 2017 graduate from the Red Lake Nation College. She went on to get her B.A. from Augsburg University in English and American Indian Studies. Now that she has received her degree, she is interested in pursuing grant writing. She is currently employed as the assistant grant writer for the Red Lake Nation College since July 2020.
Yuan Miao
Since 2021, Yuan has been working in the Business Office at RLNC, focusing on post-award grant management, reconciliation, and annual financial audits. Other duties also include payroll, benefits administrator, and H.R. onboarding. Yuan holds Undergraduate Certificate in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University, M.M. from New England Conservatory, B.M. from Nazareth College, and is bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English. Besides his financial duties, Yuan has also partaken in projects such as Hyflex classroom transformation, graduation video production, and internal training video production. His passion for content creation has earned three awards thus far from the “THUNDER inDIGIFEST” festival.
Devery Fairbanks
Devery Fairbanks earned his B.A. in American Indian Studies with an emphasis in Education from the University of Minnesota in 1988 and his M.A. in American Indian Studies with an emphasis in Education from the University of Arizona in 1997. Devery has extensive work experience and has served as a faculty member at Iowa State University, Des Moines Area Community College, Leech Lake Tribal College, and Red Lake Nation College. Dr. Bonnie Ekstrom
Bonnie Ekstrom earned an A.A. degree from Mesabi Community College, a B.S. in Psychology from Bemidji State University, and her Masters and Ph.D. at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, IL. She is a lifelong educator who understands the importance of our Community Colleges. She taught classes for Shawnee Community College in Southern Illinois and as a Graduate Assistant at Southern Illinois University. She was an Assistant Professor in the psychology department at the University of Minnesota-Morris and Bemidji State University. Kayla Duane
Kayla Duane is an enrolled member of the Leech Lake Band of the Ojibwe, raised in Minneapolis. As a first generation student, she attended the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing Education. Devin is a Red Lake Tribal Member who grew up in Minneapolis. He provides IT support to RLNC students and staff in the Twin Cities. He recently earned his B.S. in Business and Marketing from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
