Lucas is a citizen of the Red Lake Nation, where he was also born and raised. He attended Leech Lake Tribal College where he earned an A.A. in Liberal Education. He then earned a B.A. in American Indian Studies with a minor in Linguistics from University of Minnesota Duluth where he is currently pursuing a Master of Education degree. ​Lucas’ experience includes a six year enlistment in the Air Force, mentorship and volunteer work with youth, and teaching and tutoring at the college and K-8 levels. Linda Bedeau earned her M.B.A. in Health Care Administration from the University of Mary, her B.S. in Health/Physical Education with a minor in Accounting from the University of Minnesota, and her A.A. in Health and Business Education from Bemidji State University.  Linda is a member of Red Lake Band of Chippewa. She serviced six years in the Naval Reserve and one year in the National Guard. Sarah Barott received her Bachelor of Science in History and Master of Arts in English from Bemidji State University. While in school, she worked as a graduate assistant, teaching English. Her focus of study was medieval women and building community on campus. She now teaches English full-time at Red Lake Nation College.

Dr. Abbott completed his doctoral degree in communication at the University of North Dakota. He has taught a variety of communication courses, including public speaking, interpersonal communications, and health communications at the University of Minnesota in Rochester and the University of North Dakota. Dr. Abbott worked as the Executive Director of the North Dakota CPA Society and Board of Accounting through  2018.  He currently volunteers with the SCORE business mentoring program.
