We strive for students to be successful in our college, but to also leave debt-free. We’ll help you look at financial aid options and through various grants to help you focus on education and not the finances. Curious to learn more how we can help? Nutritional Support

Ensuring Student Wellness

Through collaborations with organizations such as the North Country Food Bank at the Red Lake Campus and Second Harvest Heartland at the Minneapolis site, Red Lake Nation College assists in alleviating food insecurity among our students. This partnership facilitates essential resources to students facing hardship. All students can access the food bank. Our pantry is curated to reflect the diverse cultural heritage of our community, featuring indigenous staples like Red Lake ogaawag [walleye] and manoomin [wild rice].

Help In An Emergency

Financial Emergency Support

Through the Great Lakes Emergency Grant Fund, Red Lake Nation College distributes funds to students who may be in danger of dropping out due to unforeseen financial emergencies. These emergency grants have helped to assist our students overcome otherwise insurmountable obstacles to their academic success.

Red Lake Nation College is a tribal college located on the southern shores of Red Lake, the largest lake in Minnesota. And, we have a new satellite site in Minneapolis, the first tribal college in the nation that’s in an urban setting.  Our two-year college offers a unique opportunity to embrace Ojibwe language, culture, and tradition while preparing students for further education, like a master’s or doctorate, and the twenty-first-century job market. With state-of-the-art facilities, culturally rich courses, and accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission, we are a destination worth exploring. Start with us!

We offer students a unique and enriching experience that goes beyond the classroom. With its state-of-the-art facilities, diverse courses, and strong emphasis on Ojibwe language and culture, we provide students with an education that prepares them for further higher education, like a master’s or doctorate, the job market, and also for life in the 21st century.
